RAW Stock FAQ

 

What is RAW Stock?

RAW Stock is RAW Exposed's library of licensable photography of Brisbane and South East Queensland, mostly helicopter aerials plus drone and ground photos. Search it on a map, by address or by keyword at raw.exposed/stock, and license photos straight from the site.

 

How do I find photos of a particular address?

Type the address into RAW Stock. Photos are worked out from where each was taken and the way it faces, and labelled by how likely they are to show the address. Best match photos have been lined up with 3D data of the city, so the address is accurately placed in the photo. Others are marked Likely or Might show, and photos whose location is only approximate are listed last.

 

How do I buy photos?

Create a free account, buy a credit pack by card, then spend credits on photos. Every photo's price is shown in credits. Pack sizes and prices are on the Account page. Prices include GST.

 

What sizes and licences are there?

Four sizes: Web, Medium, Full resolution, and Full resolution + RAW, which adds the unedited camera RAW file. Two licences: Standard covers one property or project; Commercial covers wider use. Each licence also includes the smaller sizes of the same photo.

 

What affects a photo's price?

The size and licence, how recent the photo is, whether it was taken from a helicopter, drone or the ground, the height for helicopter photos, the time of day (golden hour and dusk cost more) and the area. Standout photos may be priced higher. The price you see is the price you pay.

 

How long do credits last? Can I get a refund?

Pack credits last 3 years from purchase, and credits from codes or referrals last 1 year. Packs aren't refundable except where Australian Consumer Law requires it. If a photo is faulty, tell us within 30 days and the credits come back. See the Credit terms.

 

Can my team share credits?

Yes. Set up an organisation on the Account page. Owners and admins buy credits and invite staff, staff spend them (with optional monthly limits), and licences are held in the organisation's name. Organisations can ask to pay for Agency and Developer packs by invoice.

 

Where are my downloads?

On the Account page under Licences. You can download your photos again at any time while your account is open, and print a licence certificate.

 

Can I upgrade a licence later?

Yes. Upgrade to a bigger size, from Standard to Commercial, or both, and pay only the difference at today's prices. If you hold Full resolution, you can add the RAW file later the same way.

 

What can I do with the RAW file?

Edit it for the use your licence covers. You can't resell or share the file itself. The RAW keeps the camera's original data, including its location.

 

Are people in the photos model released?

No. Photos where adults can be recognised are sold on the Standard licence only and marked "Not model released, not for advertising". Photos with recognisable children, or people in sensitive places, aren't offered.

 

Can I try a photo before I buy?

Yes. Signed-in members can download a watermarked preview for drafts and approvals, and save photos to boards to share with a team or client through a view-only link. The Licence terms set out what previews can be used for.

 

Can I label a photo with my site?

Yes. Annotate lets you add labels, a site outline and your branding to a licensed photo, free with the licence. You can try it on a watermarked preview first.

 

Can I get camera data to put a 3D render into a photo? (coming soon)

Yes. Camera match is an add-on for Best match photos, on top of a Full resolution + RAW licence. It gives a 3D artist the camera that took the photo: its position, direction and lens, matched to the finished photo and to the RAW frame. That lets a render of a new building or fit-out drop straight into the shot and be graded to match. The files open in common 3D software (FBX, USD and Blender). Add it when you license the photo, or later from the Licences tab. Look for "Camera match available" in RAW STOCK's filters.

 

What about TV, national campaigns or big media buys?

Campaigns on TV or in cinemas, in more than one country, or with more than A$50,000 of media spend need a written quote. Contact us first.
